How it works

1. Cause an artifact to enter the battlefield under your control.
2. Captain Storm triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on a Pirate you control.
3. Animation Module triggers, causing you to pay 1 to create a 1/1 Servo artifact creature token.
4. When the Servo enters the battlefield, Captain Storm triggers.
5. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Servo, adding CC.
6. Resolve the Captain Storm trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on a Pirate you control.
7. Repeat from step 3.
8. Once you have infinite mana, you may forego sacrificing the Servos.

This clever loop feeds on itself by using Captain Storm, Cosmium Raider as the bridge between counter magic and artifact generation. Whenever an artifact enters, Captain Storm, Cosmium Raider places a +1/+1 counter on your Pirate, which immediately rouses Animation Module to offer a Servo token for the low cost of {1}. Feeding that newly minted Servo to Ashnod's Altar refunds two colorless mana—more than enough to pay for Animation Module's trigger while generating a net profit of colorless mana. Because that Servo is itself an artifact entering the battlefield, it restarts Captain Storm, Cosmium Raider's trigger loop all over again, letting you scale your Pirate infinitely and harvest boundless resources.
