How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers. Choose not to pay.
3. Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Xu-Ifit, adding CC.
5. When Xu-Ifit dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return it from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
6. Repeat.

This loop revolves around a clever recursive engine fueled by Ashnod's Altar, which provides the mana needed while sending creatures to the graveyard to feed the machine. Nim Deathmantle steps in to catch Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist when it dies, using the mana generated by the altar to constantly bring the Osteoharmonist right back to the battlefield equipped and ready to repeat the process. Meanwhile, Xu-Ifit uses its tap ability to recycle other fallen creatures from your graveyard, while the majestic Akroma's Memorial stands guard over your entire board with a sweeping suite of keyword protection and haste.
