How it works

1. Declare Cheering Fanatic as an attacker. When it triggers, choose to name "Wretched Throng"
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Wretched Throng, adding CC.
3. When Wretched Throng dies, it and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
4. Holding priority, activate Sundering Archaic by paying 2, putting Wretched Throng from your graveyard onto the bottom of your library.
5. Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
6. Resolve the Wretched Throng trigger, putting Wretched Throng from your library into your hand.
7. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
8. Cast Wretched Throng by paying due to Cheering Fanatic.
9. Repeat from step 2

This clever loop turns a modest common into an engine of endless sacrifices by stacking cost reduction with graveyard recursion. While Cheering Fanatic discounts Wretched Throng down to a single mana, Ashnod's Altar and Pitiless Plunderer work in tandem upon its death to instantly refund your investment in both mana and a fresh copy pulled straight from your deck. The final piece of the puzzle is Sundering Archaic, whose activated ability lets you seamlessly tuck the departed Wretched Throng back onto the bottom of your library so its own death trigger can reliably fetch it right back to your hand.
