How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Crookshank Kobolds
2. When Crookshank Kobolds dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Crookshank Kobolds from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast Crookshank Kobolds from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns zero-mana creatures into an endless engine of mana and triggers. By sacrificing Crookshank Kobolds to Ashnod's Altar, you generate a pair of colorless mana while Mortuary quietly catches the dying creature, placing it right back on top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless steps in with her attack trigger, letting you cast cards from the top of your library for free in terms of mana—paying zero life for a zero-mana spell means you can replay the Kobolds endlessly without burning through your life total.
