How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ornithopter.
2. Cast Ornithopter from your graveyard by paying 0. It will not enter with a finality counter on it due to Solemnity.
3. Repeat.

This clever engine loops our mechanical flying friend by turning Leonardo, Sewer Samurai's graveyard-casting restriction entirely on its head. Thanks to Solemnity preventing any counters from ever being placed on our permanents, Ornithopter slips past the finality counter that would normally exile it, returning to the battlefield fresh and ready. We then feed it straight to Ashnod's Altar to harvest a steady stream of colorless mana, fueling an infinite loop of leaves-the-battlefield, death, and sacrifice triggers.
