How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ornithopter
2. When Ornithopter dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Ornithopter from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast Ornithopter from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
4. Repeat.

This delightful little loop turns the humble Ornithopter into an engine of endless energy, fueled by the mana-generating sacrifice of Ashnod's Altar. While the altar provides a steady stream of colorless mana, Mortuary ensures the tiny thopter never stays in the graveyard long, immediately cycling it right back to the top of your library. That is where Gwenom, Remorseless comes in: by attacking, Gwenom lets you bypass mana costs to cast spells from the top of your library by paying life instead—a steep price usually, but completely free for a zero-mana artifact like the Ornithopter. Together, they create a self-sustaining cycle of life and sacrifice that floods the board with infinite triggers.
