How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista by paying 1, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Walking Ballista.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Walking Ballista, adding CC.
4. When Walking Ballista dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Walking Ballista from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This looping engine relies on Stenn, Paranoid Partisan reducing artifact spells by {1}, allowing you to cast Walking Ballista for a single mana with a single +1/+1 counter. With Together Forever active, you can pay {1} to mark the Ballista to return to your hand upon dying, then feed it to Ashnod's Altar to generate {C}{C}. Because the mana produced refunds the entire casting and recovery cost, you can endlessly replay and sacrifice the Ballista to flood the board with infinite sacrifice, death, and trigger counts.
