How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista by paying 1, causing it to enter the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
2. Activate Together Forever by paying 1, targeting Walking Ballista.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Walking Ballista, adding CC.
4. When Walking Ballista dies, Together Forever triggers, returning Walking Ballista from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on Together Forever to set up a recurring safety net, ensuring Walking Ballista can be repeatedly sacrificed to Ashnod's Altar to generate a surplus of colorless mana. Because Walking Ballista enters with a +1/+1 counter, it is instantly a valid target for Together Forever's activation, allowing you to buy it right back to your hand every time it dies. Temur Battlecrier acts as a brilliant enabler for the engine, utilizing its cost-reduction ability to shave down the mana required to cast Walking Ballista as your creature count grows, turning the entire process into an infinite stream of damage, mana, and death triggers.
