How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Wretched Throng, adding CC.
  2. When Wretched Throng dies, it and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
  3. Holding priority, activate Paradox Shaper // Omit Variables by paying 2, putting Wretched Throng from your graveyard onto the bottom of your library.
  4. Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
  5. Resolve the Wretched Throng trigger, putting Wretched Throng from your library into your hand.
  6. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding U mana.
  7. Cast Wretched Throng by paying U mana due to Animar.
  8. Animar triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it
  9. Repeat.
