How it works

1. Give Vrondiss indestructible, if needed.
2. Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
3. Halana triggers, causing you to pay 2 to have that creature deal damage equal to its power to Vrondiss.
4. Vrondiss' first ability triggers, causing you to create a 5/4 Dragon Spirit creature token.
5. When the Dragon Spirit enters the battlefield, Halana triggers.
6. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Dragon Spirit, adding CC.
7. Resolve the Halana trigger, causing you to pay 2 to deal 1 damage to Vrondiss.
8. Repeat from step 4.

This elegant engine turns Vrondiss, Rage of Ancients into a self-sustaining dragon factory by weaponizing its own enrage mechanic and self-harming die-roll trigger. Once Vrondiss is granted indestructible, Halana, Kessig Ranger acts as the catalyst, turning every creature entry into targeted damage that pings Vrondiss to spawn a 5/4 Dragon Spirit token. Those tokens aren't just for show—each one immediately fuels Ashnod's Altar for the mana required to pay Halana's ability fee, feeding the loop infinitely.
