How it works

1. Activate Eldrazi Displacer by paying 2C, blinking Sharuum the Hegemon.
2. When Sharuum the Hegemon enters the battlefield, it and Monkey Cage trigger.
3. Resolve the Sharuum the Hegemon trigger, returning any artifact from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Resolve the Monkey Cage trigger, causing you to sacrifice it and create six 2/2 Ape creature tokens.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar three times by sacrificing three Apes, adding six C.
6. Activate Eldrazi Displacer by paying 2C, blinking Sharuum the Hegemon.
7. When Sharuum the Hegemon enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Monkey Cage from your graveyard to the battlefield.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Sharuum the Hegemon and Eldrazi Displacer into an infinite resurrection engine, fueled by the mana generated from sacrificing your creations to Ashnod's Altar. When Sharuum enters the battlefield, its triggered ability lets you continuously pull Monkey Cage back from the graveyard, which in turn shatters itself to flood the board with tokens the moment any creature arrives. Ashnod's Altar converts those tokens into the exact colorless mana needed to fund Eldrazi Displacer's blinking ability, keeping the cycle going indefinitely.
