This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar and Cathodion into a self-sustaining mana engine, where sacrificing Cathodion generates more colorless energy than it takes to keep the cycle going. Eldrazi Displacer acts as the mechanical engine, using that surplus mana to repeatedly blink Edgar, Master Machinist. Meanwhile, Edgar's ability allows you to recast Cathodion straight from the graveyard for a mere two mana each iteration. While Honest Rutstein isn't strictly required for the core loop, its cost-reduction ability helps ease the mana requirements, while its entrance trigger can also return creatures to your hand if you branch out your strategy.
