How it works

1. Activate Agonasaur Rex's cycling ability by paying 2 and discarding it.
2. Agonasaur Rex triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on Evolution Witness.
3. Evolution Witness triggers, returning Agonasaur Rex from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Insidious Roots triggers, creating a 0/1 Plant creature token, and then putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
5. Resolve the Agonasaur Rex ability from step 1, causing you to draw a card.
6. Activate the Plant by tapping it, adding .
7. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the tapped Plant, adding CC.
8. Repeat.

This intricate loop spins up by leveraging Agonasaur Rex's cycling ability to continuously trigger Evolution Witness, which recursively plucks the dinosaur right back out of your graveyard. Every time Agonasaur Rex leaves the graveyard, Insidious Roots notices the card departing and rewards you with a Plant token, which immediately grows with its own +1/+1 counters. You can then tap that Plant for mana thanks to the static ability granted by Insidious Roots, and feed the token to Ashnod's Altar to generate the exact green mana needed to start the whole cycle over again. While Garna, the Bloodflame sits in the background waiting to return any creatures that hit the bin, this engine relies entirely on cycling and recycling to fuel infinite card draw and a growing army of plants.
