How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Naomi, adding CC.
2. When Naomi dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Naomi from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Naomi enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating a 2/2 Spirit creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Spirit, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Ashnod's Altar into a self-sustaining engine by channeling the mana generated from sacrifices straight into Nim Deathmantle's revival ability. Each time you pay four mana to return Naomi, Pillar of Order to the battlefield, her entrance triggers to yield a fresh token—though the steps note she creates a 2/2 Spirit, her oracle text actually produces a Samurai, but either way, it's the fodder you need. Sacrificing that token back to Ashnod's Altar provides the exact colorless mana required to pay for Nim Deathmantle's trigger when Naomi dies again, leaving you with infinite sacrifices and entrance triggers.
