How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Unstoppable Slasher, adding CC.
2. When Unstoppable Slasher dies, its second ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield with two stun counters on it.
3. When Unstoppable Slasher enters the battlefield, Angelic Chorus triggers, causing you to gain life equal to Unstoppable Slasher's toughness.
4. Activate Hex Parasite by paying 2 and 2 life, removing both stun counters from Unstoppable Slasher and giving Hex Parasite +2/+0 until end of turn.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop uses Ashnod's Altar as the engine to repeatedly sacrifice Unstoppable Slasher, generating a steady stream of colorless mana while abusing the Slasher's own resurrection trigger to bring it right back to the battlefield tapped. Because Unstoppable Slasher returns with two stun counters, Hex Parasite steps in to effortlessly devour those counters by paying life and mana, instantly clearing the way for the Slasher to be sacrificed all over again. Meanwhile, Angelic Chorus watches the endless procession of returning bodies to effortlessly flood your life total, while Hex Parasite quietly grows into a terrifyingly massive threat fueled by all the counters it strips away.
