How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ebondeath, adding CC.
  2. When Ebondeath dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  3. Activate the Treasure token by tapping and sacrificing it, adding B mana.
  4. Cast Ebondeath from your graveyard by paying 2B manaB mana.
  5. Insidious Roots triggers, creating a creature token and putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
  6. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature token, adding CC.
  7. When the creature token dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
  8. Activate the Treasure token by tapping and sacrificing it, adding B mana.
  9. Repeat.
