How it works
- Activate Mite Overseer by paying 3W/P, creating two creature tokens.
- When the creature tokens enter the battlefield, Guide of Souls triggers twice, causing you to gain 2 life and get EE
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding CCCC.
- Repeat.
This loop relies on Mite Overseer as an engine to churn out tokens, whose cost is heavily offset by the explosive token-doubling replacement effect of Quina, Qu Gourmet to yield both a Phyrexian Mite and a Frog token for a single activation. As those tokens enter, Guide of Souls floods you with energy and life, ensuring you easily sustain the phyrexian mana payments. Finally, Ashnod's Altar converts those freshly minted tokens into a surplus of colorless mana, letting you feed the loop infinitely and fuel massive attacks.
