How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Quintorius, History Chaser triggers, creating two creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Survey Mechan as a self-recycling engine whose expensive activation cost is easily offset by the lands you control. When you sacrifice Survey Mechan, Mortuary ensures it never stays in the graveyard, instantly placing it on top of your library while triggering Quintorius, History Chaser as the card leaves the graveyard. Thanks to Doubling Season doubling those token creation effects, Quintorius yields a pair of Spirit tokens instead of just one. You then feed those tokens into Ashnod's Altar to generate more than enough colorless mana to recast Survey Mechan from the top of your library, repeating the cycle for massive damage, life, and card draw.
