How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers. Choose not to pay.
3. Activate Xu-Ifit by tapping it, returning a creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Xu-Ifit, adding CC.
5. When Xu-Ifit dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return it from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
6. Repeat.

This loop sets up a continuous cycle of sacrifice and resurrection, fueled by Ashnod's Altar providing the exact mana needed to keep the engine turning. When Xu-Ifit, Osteoharmonist dies, Nim Deathmantle's triggered ability steps in to return it straight to the battlefield while reattaching itself, allowing you to continually recur creatures from your graveyard. Meanwhile, Fires of Yavimaya grants your creatures haste so any revived threats can immediately join the fray or participate in the sacrificial loop. By repeatedly feeding Xu-Ifit and other fodder to the Altar, you generate infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield effects, and sacrifice counts to overwhelm your opponents.
