How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ajani, adding CC.
2. When Ajani dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Ajani from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Ajani enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, creating a 2/1 Cat Warrior creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Cat Warrior, adding CC.
5. When the Cat Warrior dies, Ajani's second ability triggers. Choose not to transform Ajani.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Ashnod's Altar to convert your creatures into the exact colorless mana needed to fuel Nim Deathmantle's resurrection ability. When you sacrifice Ajani, Nacatl Pariah // Ajani, Nacatl Avenger to the Altar, Nim Deathmantle steps in to bring him right back, and his own entry trigger instantly replaces the lost fodder by spawning a fresh Cat Warrior token. Sacrificing that newly minted Cat Warrior to Ashnod's Altar provides the remaining mana required to pay for the Deathmantle's trigger, keeping the cycle spinning endlessly without ever needing Ajani to permanently flip.
