How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Dion, adding CC.
2. When Dion dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return Dion from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When Dion enters, it triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Dion, Bahamut's Dominant, which enters the battlefield to supply a 2/2 white Knight creature token every time it returns. You can feed Dion to Ashnod's Altar to generate the mana needed to pay for Nim Deathmantle's triggered ability, which resurrects Dion and re-equips itself in one fell swoop. By sacrificing the Knight token created by Dion along the way, you easily maintain a positive mana flow to fuel an infinite cycle of sacrifices, deaths, and entries.
