How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing S.H.I.E.L.D. Deployment Drone, adding CC.
2. When S.H.I.E.L.D. Deployment Drone dies, Nim Deathmantle triggers, causing you to pay 4 to return S.H.I.E.L.D. Deployment Drone from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
3. When S.H.I.E.L.D. Deployment Drone enters, it triggers, creating a creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding CC.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns the mechanical recycling of Nim Deathmantle into a self-sustaining engine by feeding a sacrificed creature to Ashnod's Altar to partially fund its own resurrection. The secret to breaking even on the mana cost lies in S.H.I.E.L.D. Deployment Drone, whose entry trigger manufactures a fresh 1/1 white Soldier creature token every single time it returns to the battlefield. By sacrificing that extra token to the altar, you generate the exact amount of colorless mana needed to pay the deathmantle's revival fee, leaving you with an endless cycle of enters-the-battlefield and death triggers.
