How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing The Master, adding CC.
2. When The Master dies, its second ability triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Cavalier of Night.
3. When The Master enters the battlefield, its first ability triggers, doing nothing.
4. Repeat.

The engine starts when you cast The Master, Formed Anew: Body Thief and exile Cavalier of Night under it, allowing The Master to enter the battlefield as a copy of that Cavalier. From there, you feed your new Cavalier copy to Ashnod's Altar to generate colorless mana while triggering the Cavalier's own death ability, which pulls The Master right back out of the graveyard to restart the loop. Because The Master's copy effect lets it return as the Cavalier over and over again, you enjoy an endless cycle of sacrifices, death triggers, and mana generation.
