How it works

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Metamorphosis Fanatic.
  2. When Metamorphosis Fanatic dies, Syr Vondam triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and causing you to gain 1 life.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Junji.
  4. When Junji dies, it and Syr Vondam trigger.
  5. Resolve the Syr Vondam trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it and causing you to gain 1 life.
  6. Resolve the Junji trigger, returning Metamorphosis Fanatic from your graveyard to the battlefield and causing you to lose 2 life.
  7. When Metamorphosis Fanatic enters, it triggers, returning Junji from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  8. Repeat.
