How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This looping engine turns a single creature into a self-sustaining cycle by leveraging Mortuary to immediately rescue any creature that hits your graveyard, placing it right back on top of your library. From there, Case of the Locked Hothouse steps in to provide the crucial passive support you need, allowing you to cast that very same creature straight off the top of your library without ever drawing it. Meanwhile, Ashnod's Altar fuels the entire operation by turning each sacrifice into the colorless mana required to recast your creature, leaving you with a surplus of energy and an infinite loop of triggers.
