How it works

1. Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
2. When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Chalk Outline triggers, creating two creature tokens and a Clue token
4. Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
5. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
6. Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
7. Repeat.

This intricate engine turns the self-replacing sacrifice of Survey Mechan into a perpetual motion machine by leveraging Mortuary to seamlessly recycle the flying automaton back to the top of your library for re-casting. As Survey Mechan heads to the graveyard, Chalk Outline seizes the moment to flood the board with Detective tokens and Clues, an output that Quina, Qu Gourmet generously expands by adding a bonus stream of Frog tokens to every batch. You then feed those generated tokens right into Ashnod's Altar to fund the mana required to recast Survey Mechan and do it all over again, spinning off near-infinite damage, card draw, and lifegain in the process.
