How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Ashnod's Altar to continuously feed you colorless mana by turning creatures into fuel, while Mortuary catches them on their way to the graveyard and immediately tucks them back onto the top of your library. With Eladamri, Korvecdal sitting on the board, you can bypass normal draw steps to peer right at that top card and recast the creature you just sacrificed—provided you have enough mana left over, or can offset the costs. Though Eladamri, Korvecdal also brings an impressive tap ability to the table, this core engine lets you loop the same creature infinitely to generate endless leaves-the-battlefield, enters-the-battlefield, death, and sacrifice triggers alongside a massive storm count.
