How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into a reliable conveyor belt, starting when Ashnod's Altar converts your creature into a pair of colorless mana. The moment the creature hits the graveyard, Mortuary intercepts it to place it right back on top of your library, making it accessible once again. This is where Crystal Skull, Isu Spyglass pulls the whole engine together: its static ability lets you peer at the top of your library at any time while granting you permission to cast historic spells—like your sacrificed creature—directly from the top. By cycling the same creature endlessly between the battlefield, the graveyard, and the top of your library, you generate an endless cascade of triggers alongside an infinite supply of colorless mana.
