How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a single creature into an endless engine of sacrifice and rebirth by letting Ashnod's Altar sacrifice it for colorless mana while Mortuary neatly intercepts its journey to the graveyard, placing it right back on top of your library. From there, Summoning Materia steps in with its passive mastery, allowing you to cast that exact creature straight off the library's peak using the mana you just generated. Because Summoning Materia can also tap for green mana, it helps bridge any color requirements your creature needs to recast itself, sustaining the cycle indefinitely for infinite sacrifices, triggers, and colorless mana.
