How it works
- Activate Survey Mechan by sacrificing it.
- When Survey Mechan dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Survey Mechan from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
- Quintorius, History Chaser triggers, creating two creature tokens.
- Resolve the Survey Mechan ability, dealing 3 damage to any target and causing you to draw three cards and gain 3 life.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the two creature tokens, adding CCCC.
- Cast Survey Mechan by paying 4.
- Repeat.
This clever loop relies on Mortuary to intercept Survey Mechan as it dies, instantly recycling it to the top of your library instead of letting it rest in peace. Meanwhile, the departure of Survey Mechan from your graveyard triggers Quintorius, History Chaser to bring forth fresh tokens, which are further doubled thanks to Quina, Qu Gourmet's replacement effect. You then feed those bonus tokens into Ashnod's Altar to generate the exact mana needed to recast Survey Mechan and keep the cycle spinning infinitely.
