How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Greedy Freebooter, adding CC.
2. When Greedy Freebooter dies, it and Rakdos trigger.
3. Resolve the Greedy Freebooter trigger, creating a Treasure token and causing you to scry 1.
4. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
5. Holding priority, activate Haunted Crossroads by paying , putting Greedy Freebooter from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
6. Resolve the Rakdos trigger, exiling Greedy Freedbooter from the top of your library with the ability to cast it until your next turn.
7. Cast Greedy Freebooter from exile by paying 1.
8. Repeat.

This loop uses Ashnod's Altar as the engine to sacrifice Greedy Freebooter, which triggers both its own death ability to generate a Treasure token and Rakdos, the Muscle's ability to exile cards from the top of a library. By spending the mana from the Treasure token to activate Haunted Crossroads, you return Greedy Freebooter from the graveyard straight to the top of your library so that Rakdos, the Muscle can exile it and allow you to recast it. This self-sustaining loop effortlessly recycles Greedy Freebooter to continuously churn out colorless mana, death triggers, and card access.
