How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Master of the Veil, adding CC.
2. When Master of the Veil dies, Yarus' second ability triggers, returning Master of the Veil from your graveyard to the battlefield face down, then turning it face up.
3. Master of the Veil triggers, turning itself face down.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Ashnod's Altar to turn your graveyard into a revolving door, converting Master of the Veil into a steady stream of colorless mana. Because Master of the Veil is constantly dying and returning, Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods does the heavy lifting by dragging it right back to the battlefield face down and immediately flipping it face up. That automatic face-up trigger lets Master of the Veil target itself and turn back face down, priming it to be sacrificed to the Altar all over again.
