How it works
Activate Agonasaur Rex's cycling ability by paying 2 and discarding it.
Agonasaur Rex triggers, putting two +1/+1 counters on Evolution Witness.
Evolution Witness triggers, returning Agonasaur Rex from your graveyard to your hand.
Insidious Roots triggers, creating a 0/1 Plant creature token, and then putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
Resolve the Agonasaur Rex ability from step 1, causing you to draw a card.
Activate the Plant by tapping it, adding .
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the tapped Plant, adding CC.
Repeat.
This intricate loop spins into motion when you cycle Agonasaur Rex to drop two +1/+1 counters onto Evolution Witness, whose trigger then plucks the discarded dinosaur right back out of your graveyard. That movement of a creature card out of the graveyard sparks Insidious Roots to create a Plant token, which conveniently taps for mana before Ashnod's Altar feeds it to generate the colorless mana needed to keep cycling. Meanwhile, the haste and extra triggers from Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods hang in the wings, turning this recycling engine into a boundless stream of card draw and sacrificed resources.
