How it works

1. Donate Karlov Watchdog to an opponent.
2. During the opponent's turn, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a face-down creature you control.
3. When the creature dies, Yarus's second ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield face-down as a 2/2 creature, and then not turning it face-up due to Karlov Watchdog.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious engine uses Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods as the core of a recycling loop, where its death-trigger rescue normally flips a dying face-down permanent right back to the battlefield face up. By cleverly donating Karlov Watchdog to an opponent using an effect like Burglar's Plot (the adventure half of Bilbo, Luckwearer), its passive ability steps in to shut down that automatic face-up reveal during your turn, keeping your creature safely cloaked. With Ashnod's Altar providing the sacrificial outlet to feed the loop and generate infinite colorless mana, every iteration triggers Yarus anew for endless deaths, entries, and sacrifices.
