How it works

  1. Cast Traveling Plague by paying 3B manaB mana, attaching it to another creature you control.
  2. When Traveling Plague enters, Gremlin Tamer triggers, creating a creature token.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature Traveling Plague is attached to.
  4. When the creature dies, Traveling Plague triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield attached to the token created in step 2.
  5. When Traveling Plague enters, Gremlin Tamer triggers, creating a creature token.
  6. Repeat from step 3.

This clever loop transforms a creeping curse into a self-sustaining engine by turning the death of a host creature into a recursive trigger for doom. When you cast Traveling Plague on a sacrificial victim, Gremlin Tamer's eerie ability uses that initial enchantment arrival to birth a fresh Gremlin token. You then feed the original creature to Ashnod's Altar for a burst of colorless mana, which triggers Traveling Plague's built-in clause to immediately return itself from the graveyard and latch onto the new Gremlin. Because this re-entry happens over and over, Gremlin Tamer keeps triggering to replace your sacrifices, funding an infinite loop of deaths, token births, and mana generation.
