How it works

  1. Cast Illusion of Choice by paying U mana, causing you to choose how players vote this turn and drawing a card.
  2. Cast Magister of Worth by paying 4W manaB mana.
  3. When Magister of Worth enters, it triggers.
  4. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Magister of Worth and any number of other creatures, adding 2 for each one.
  5. Resolve the Magister of Worth trigger, having each player vote for grace, returning all creatures from graveyards to the battlefield.
  6. Repeat from 3.

This clever loop harnesses the power of controlled democracy to recycle your graveyard indefinitely. By casting Illusion of Choice first, you completely rig the will of the council vote when Magister of Worth enters the battlefield, guaranteeing that "grace" always wins and resurrects every creature from all graveyards. Before that resolution finishes, you feed Magister of Worth—alongside any other creatures you wish to loop—into Ashnod's Altar to harvest the colorless mana needed to recast your resurrected army and repeat the entire spectacle.
