How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Rampant Rejuvenator.
2. When Rampant Rejuvenator dies, it's innate ability and persist ability each trigger.
3. Resolve the trigger from Rampant Rejuvenator's innate ability, allowing you to search your library for a number of basic land cards and put them onto the battlefield.
4. Resolve the persist trigger, returning Rampant Rejuvenator from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the back face of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to grant Rampant Rejuvenator the persist ability, allowing it to return from the graveyard whenever it dies. By feeding Rampant Rejuvenator into Ashnod's Altar, you generate infinite colorless mana while triggering its death ability to pull every basic land straight out of your library. Each time the creature returns, it conveniently trades its counters and loops right back into the Altar for another sacrifice.
