How it works
Activate Urza by paying 4, creating a token copy of Training Grounds that is a 1/1 Soldier in addition to its other types.
Activate Grand Architect's second ability by tapping the Training Grounds token, adding CC that can only be spent to cast artifact spells or to activate abilities of artifacts.
Activate Urza by paying at most 2, creating a token copy of Training Grounds that is a 1/1 Soldier in addition to its other types.
Activate Grand Architect's second ability by tapping the Training Grounds token, adding CC that can only be spent to cast artifact spells or to activate abilities of artifacts.
Repeat from step 3.
Once you have infinite colorless mana, you may target any other permanent using Urza's ability.
This astonishing loop turns the board into a recursive factory by leveraging Mycosynth Lattice to turn every permanent into an artifact, paving the way for Urza, Prince of Kroog to copy anything in sight. Grand Architect provides the engine, tapping newly minted creatures to generate restricted mana, but normally its ability would be too costly to loop efficiently. That is where Training Grounds steps in, discounting creature abilities so heavily that Urza's copy activation becomes cheap enough to fund entirely with the mana those very tokens produce, creating an unstoppable engine of infinite copies and mana.
