How it works
- Activate Urza by paying 6, creating a token copy of Bag End Banquet that is a 1/1 Soldier in addition to its other types.
- When the Bag End Banquet token enters, it triggers, creating three Food tokens.
- Activate the Bag End Banquet token by tapping it, adding C for each Food you control.
- Repeat
This engine centers on Urza, Prince of Kroog, whose hefty six-mana activation allows you to churn out creature copies of your own artifacts. When you target Bag End Banquet with this ability, the resulting token immediately floods your board with three fresh Food tokens upon entering the battlefield. Thanks to Bag End Banquet's mana-generating tap ability scaling directly with your hoard of Foods, you can easily tap the copy for more than enough colorless mana to pay for Urza's next activation, keeping the loop going indefinitely. Meanwhile, Akroma's Memorial turns your newly minted army into a terrifying, keyword-laden threat, granting them flying, first strike, vigilance, trample, haste, and crucial protections the moment they hit the board.
