How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Mechanized Production triggers, creating a token copy of Basalt Monolith.
2. Activate the token Basalt Monolith's first ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
3. Roxanne's second ability triggers, adding C.
4. Activate the token Basalt Monolith's second ability by paying 3, untapping it.
5. Repeat from step 2.

Because Roxanne, Starfall Savant possesses a unique mana-boosting static ability, every time you tap that new Basalt Monolith token for its three colorless mana, Roxanne’s presence triggers to sweeten the deal with an extra mana of any type that token produced. You then use a portion of that generated windfall to pay Basalt Monolith's untap cost, allowing you to repeat the process endlessly for infinite colorless mana while inching closer to an alternative victory via Mechanized Production.
