How it works
- Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Gravecrawler.
- When Gravecrawler dies, Bhaal triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Crystalline Crawler.
- Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding .
- Cast Gravecrawler from your graveyard by paying .
- Repeat.
This elegant loop turns our endlessly recurring skeleton into a perpetual motion machine of growth and mana. Carrion Feeder acts as our dedicated sacrificial altar, allowing us to constantly recycle Gravecrawler from the graveyard thanks to the continuous Zombie typing it needs. Meanwhile, Crystalline Crawler serves as the financial engine of the operation; whenever Bhaal, Lord of Murder triggers off the relentless deaths to distribute its counters, Crystalline Crawler can immediately strip one away to supply the black mana required to recast Gravecrawler all over again.
