How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Gravecrawler.
2. When Gravecrawler dies, Bhaal triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Crystalline Crawler.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to Gravecrawler's power.
4. Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding .
5. Cast Gravecrawler from your graveyard by paying .
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a relentless recursive skeleton into an engine for total mind-shredding. You begin by feeding Gravecrawler to Altar of Dementia, sending the little Zombie straight to the graveyard while milling your opponent. From there, Bhaal, Lord of Murder watches the death and triggers, placing a fresh +1/+1 counter onto Crystalline Crawler. You can then instantly crack that very counter off Crystalline Crawler to generate the black mana needed to cast Gravecrawler right back out of your graveyard, utilizing the Crawler itself as the permanent Zombie that satisfies Gravecrawler's casting condition.
