How it works
- Activate Fertilid by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, causing you to search your library for a basic land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped.
- When the land enters the battlefield, Phylath's second ability triggers twice, putting four +1/+1 counters on Fertilid and Crystalline Crawler.
- Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability twice by removing two +1/+1 counters from it, adding 1.
- Repeat.
This loop is a masterclass in turning a single land drop into a self-sustaining engine of growth and mana. The entire operation is unlocked by Conspiracy naming "Plant," which ensures that Fertilid and Crystalline Crawler count as Plants alongside Phylath, World Sculptor's tokens, letting every piece benefit from Phylath's landfall pump. When you activate Fertilid, it fetches a basic land to the battlefield, an event that Ancient Greenwarden doubles—not only allowing you to play lands directly from your graveyard, but also doubling Phylath's landfall triggers so you receive eight total +1/+1 counters to distribute. You then use Crystalline Crawler's ability to turn two of those newly placed counters into the exact green and colorless mana needed to fund Fertilid's activation again, leaving a surplus of counters behind to permanently grow your board while every basic land from your library floods the battlefield.
