How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 1.
2. Inexorable Tide triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Workhorse and Crystalline Crawler.
3. When Whitemane Lion enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding .
5. Activate Workhorse by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding C.
6. Repeat.

This elegant loop relies on Inexorable Tide to continuously add fuel to your fire every time you cast a spell. By casting Whitemane Lion, you trigger the Tide's proliferate ability to replenish the counters on both Crystalline Crawler and Workhorse. As the Lion bounces itself back to your hand upon entry, you can tap into the mana generated by sacrificing a counter from Crystalline Crawler and another from Workhorse to pay for it all over again.
