How it works

1. Activate Genku by paying 3, putting two +1/+1 counters on each creature you control due to Shang-Chi.
2. Activate Cryptic Trilobite's first ability twice by removing two +1/+1 counters from it, adding CCCC that can only be spent to activate abilities.
3. Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability twice by removing two +1/+1 counters from it, adding .
4. Repeat.

This fascinating loop is masterminded by Genku, Future Shaper, whose activated ability usually drains your mana, but is entirely sustained here by a clever exchange of counters. Shang-Chi, Martial Mentor supercharges the process by doubling every +1/+1 counter placed on your creatures, turning Genku's pump into a massive net gain. To fuel this engine, Cryptic Trilobite and Crystalline Crawler sacrifice their own accumulated +1/+1 counters to generate the exact mana needed to keep Genku activating over and over.
