How it works

1. At the beginning of your upkeep, Court of Embereth triggers.
2. Holding priority, cast Storm Herd by paying 8, creating a number of 1/1 Pegasus creature tokens equal to your life total.
3. Resolve the Court of Embereth trigger, creating a 3/1 Knight creature token, then dealing damage to each opponent equal to the number of creatures you control.
4. Each opponent whose life total is less than or equal to the number of creatures you control loses the game due to having 0 or less life.

This clever setup lets you weaponize your own life total right in the middle of your upkeep. With Tidal Barracuda allowing everyone to cast spells at instant speed while locking your opponents out of your turn entirely, you can safely drop Storm Herd in response to your own upkeep trigger. That flood of flying Pegasus tokens swells your board presence massively, ensuring that when Court of Embereth finally resolves, its triggered ability counts every single one of those new bodies—alongside the additional 3/1 Knight it creates—to blast your opponents for lethal damage.
