Ashnod the Uncaring
Whisper, Blood Liturgist
Deceiver Exarch
Infinite death triggersInfinite creature ETBInfinite creature LTBInfinite creature sacrifice triggersInfinite recursion of creature cards in your graveyard
How it works
Activate Whisper by tapping it, sacrificing Deceiver Exarch and any other creature you control, targeting any other creature card in your graveyard.
Ashnod the Uncaring triggers, copying Whisper's ability, targeting Deceiver Exarch.
Resolve the copy of Whisper's ability, returning Deceiver Exarch from your graveyard to the battlefield.
When Deceiver Exarch enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Whisper.
Resolve the original Whisper ability, returning the targeted creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat.
This cunning graveyard loop centers on Whisper, Blood Liturgist, whose tap ability typically asks you to sacrifice two creatures to resurrect a single card from your graveyard. Ashnod the Uncaring turns that already powerful sacrifice into an engine of excess by copying the ability whenever permanents are fed to it, effectively doubling your return on investment. By feeding Deceiver Exarch into the cost, its entry trigger untaps Whisper so the process can begin anew, while Deceiver Exarch itself is continuously pulled right back out of the graveyard by the copied and original triggers.
