How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding B mana.
  2. Activate Apprentice Necromancer by paying B mana, tapping and sacrificing it, targeting any creature card in your graveyard.
  3. Ashnod triggers, copying Apprentice Necromancer's ability, targeting Apprentice Necromancer.
  4. Resolve both Apprentice Necromancer abilities, returning Apprentice Necromancer and another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield, and giving them haste until end of turn.
  5. Repeat.
