How it works

1. Activate The Last Ride's crew ability by tapping a creature with power 2 or greater, causing it to become an artifact creature until end of turn.
2. The Last Ride dies as a state-based action due to having 0 or less toughness, triggering Salvaging Station and Phenomenon Investigators.
3. Resolve the Phenomenon Investigators trigger, creating a creature token.
4. Resolve the Salvaging Station trigger, untapping it.
5. Activate Salvaging Station by tapping it, returning The Last Ride from your graveyard to the battlefield.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns The Last Ride's massive self-inflicted toughness penalty into a perpetual engine by deliberately driving its own destruction. Because The Last Ride counts as an artifact creature the moment you crew it, paying its life-draining cost or crashing it into the graveyard allows Salvaging Station to pluck it right back out onto the battlefield. Meanwhile, Phenomenon Investigators watches the carnage unfold, its "Believe" choice capitalising on each death by spawning a 2/2 black Horror enchantment creature token while simultaneously untapping the Salvaging Station to do it all over again.
