How it works
At the beginning of your precombat main phase, Origin of the Hidden Ones triggers, putting a lore counter on it.
Origin of the Hidden Ones' third chapter ability triggers, causing you to create an Assassin token whenever an Assassin attacks this turn and sacrifice Origin of the Hidden Ones.
Declare the creature with Breath of Fury attached, and at least one Assassin if the creature with Breath of Fury attached isn't an Assassin, as attackers.
Origin of the Hidden Ones triggers, creating a 1/1 Assassin creature token that's tapped and attacking.
Deal combat damage using the creature that has Breath of Fury attached.
Breath of Fury triggers, causing you to sacrifice the creature it is attached to, then attach Breath of Fury to the Assassin token, then causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
Repeat from step 3 each combat phase.
This clever loop relies on Breath of Fury to chain together an endless series of attack steps by constantly sacrificing your damaged creature and leaping the Aura onto a fresh attacker. To keep this engine fueled, Origin of the Hidden Ones provides a steady stream of Assassin tokens through its third chapter ability, ensuring you always have a new vessel ready to receive the Aura and carry on the assault. Meanwhile, Temur Ascendancy sits quietly on the board, granting your newly minted tokens haste so they can immediately rush into combat without waiting around.
